Inlet View Elementary - New Traffic Pattern
Grades K-2 - Primary Students: Pull forward as far as possible. Stay left against curb. Do not drop in exit curve. If walking student into school please park in parking spaces or on the street. Do NOT park and exit vehicle in drop off lane.
Grades 3-5 - Intermediate Students: Pull forward as far as possible. Stay right against curb. Pass on left. Students exit from right side of vehicle.
Walkers crossing L St.: Cross on north side of 13th Ave. Follow Inlet Place north and cross at new crosswalk.
Main Entrance: All students arriving after 8:00 a.m. should enter through the main entrance and sign in at the office.

A new ordinance (law) passed by the Anchorage Assembly on June 20, 2019 makes it unlawful for a driver of any vehicle to talk on a mobile communication device while driving a vehicle within an active school zone or on school grounds, unless the vehicle is stopped or a hands-free device is used.
- Keep eyes focused on students.
- Never leave vehicle unattended.
- Pull vehicle forward to the farthest available space along the sidewalk.
- Keep moving forward after your child exits the car.
- Be patient during peak traffic times.
- Students should exit the vehicle on the curbside.
- Keep moving forward if you don't immediately see your child.
